About Us
The Business Roundtable South Florida Chapter was formally incorporated in September, 1973, and became active during 1974. In February 1974, a similar group, the Florida Business Roundtable was incorporated in Tampa, primarily as a Central Florida organization. In October 1975, the two groups, bound by their common interests, were merged and the surviving organization was known as the Florida Business Roundtable, Inc., and it became a statewide association. In 2002, in response to the formation of CURT, formerly the construction arm of the Business Roundtable, the Florida Business Roundtable changed its name to FCURT, the Florida Construction Users Roundtable. FCURT continues to drive for Construction Industry improvement. FCURT is an autonomous, not-for-profit organization that provides a forum for the exchange of information, views, practices and policies of various its members at the state level. FCURT stands for improvement. It stands for improving overall cost effectiveness. It stands for improving the way construction is planned, managed, accounted for, regulated and executed. It stands for improving the way workers are motivated, supervised and work. FCURT also stands for change; changing and improving what owners permit, require and accept responsibility for. |
